Alexandre Soca – Cross-Collar Choke Series

Cross-Collar Choke Series
In the upcoming weeks, Alexandre “Soca” Freitas presents a new methodology for RGOA students. His experience as a coach has given him the technical expertise to create a new way of teaching, thus transforming the way his students learn. Learn here a new way to adapt your game to different critical situations.

Instructor

Alexandre Soca
Renzo Gracie started referring to Alexandre Freitas as Soca or Socador (Puncher) because at 18 he decided to start boxing to break up his BJJ routine. In time, the entirety of Gracie Barra HQ was calling him that. Soca’s first teacher was Jean Jacques Machado, at a school full of incredible talent — “Draculino”, “Soneca”, “Risada”. Alexandre Freitas showed promise early on and made progress under Jean Jacques’s supervision. In his own career as coach, Soca is known for his preference for creating his own brand. Despite having been connected to Gracie Barra for a long time, he decided to found Soca BJJ, which has since shaped black-belts like Rafael “Capoeira”, Paulo de Tarso, “Cabeção”, Vinícius Moura, Sydney Machado and even a finalist of the eighth season of The Ultimate Fighter — Phillipe Nover.
