Yan Lei – Yi Jin Jing (Muscle Tendon Changing) Qigong

“Men should not be governed by Yin and Yang (they should) use the body of blood and Qi and change it into a body of metal and stone… You must study this gung fu carefully”

The Shaolin Temple have two famous Qigong forms: Yi Jin Jing (Muscle /Tendon Changing) and Xi Sui Jing (Bone Marrow Cleansing). The 8 Treasures originates from Yi Jin Jing. Yi Jin Jing means “changes your muscles and tendons”. Shifu Yan Lei invites you to join him on his online program.

Yi Jin Jing changes the tendons of the internal organs and strengthens them from the inside out. It also transforms our external muscles and tendons.

Yi Jin Jing is a nourishing and strengthening Qigong. It is an adaptable form which is beneficial for office workers, athletes, fighters as well as health and wellness seekers. If you do a hard Qigong such as Iron Shirt, it’s important to mix this with a nourishing Qigong such as Yi Jin Jing.

It’s not required that you know the 8 Treasures Qigong but if you do, you can use your experience to get to the depths of the movements. Shaolin is not something we learn and move on from. The more we do, the deeper our practice. It was only when Shifu Yan Lei began to teach 8 Treasures Qigong that he really understood its power. Up until then he’d been more focused on Iron Shirt Qigong.

Shifu Yan Lei uses his thirty-years of training and twenty-years of teaching to adapt the Yi Jin Ying form and make it useful for our modern lifestyle.

A bird can’t fly without two wings, and we can’t have true health without a combination of Yin and Yang training. Shifu Yan Lei will show you how this Qigong can give an effortless strength to your Yang training whether that’s running, martial arts, fighting or any other sport. The integration of Yin and Yang training is the essence of Shaolin.

The Yi Jin Jing online course runs for for 4 weeks. In the first two weeks you will learn the form and in the second two weeks you will practice the form in a very focused and specific way.
