Using aerial views for landscape photography adds a distinguishing flare to your portfolio. But how do you create images that stand out in an industry flooded with beautiful imagery? World-renowned landscape and aerial photographers Peter Eastway and Tony Hewitt are going to show you how to create a stand-out portfolio using the techniques they’ve developed throughout their award-winning careers. In their class, you will learn:

TONY HEWITT
Australian fine art photographer Tony Hewitt is a Grand Master of Photography of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP). He is also an Honorary Fellow of the AIPP, a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography and a WPPI Double Master of Photography.
In September 2013, Tony was awarded the prestigious title of AIPP Professional Photographer of the Year, and in the same year received the New Zealand Overseas Photographer of the Year, and the Australian Landscape Photographer of the Year. He has also been awarded the Western Australian Landscape Photographer of the Year, a title he has won on 3 other occasions including in 2015. and was Western Australian Professional Photographer of the Year in 1994 and 2004. In 2016 his landscape images were awarded 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in the Landscape Category at the WPPI awards in Las Vegas.
Tony was also invited to be a core artist at the prestigious 2013 Ballarat International Foto Biennali. He has an international competition judge since 1995.
Tony is the current Chairman of the Australian Professional Photography Awards and is regularly sought after as a keynote speaker and presenter, both within Australia and internationally. He was invited to be a part of the Wizards of OZ collective in a representation of Australia Photographic Artists exhibited at the Pingyao International Photo Festival in China in 2014 and exhibits regularly both within Australia and abroad. He recently completed another solo exhibition at the prestigious Lynton and Kay Gallery in Perth titled ‘Lux et Aqua’ which followed on from his highly successful ‘Coast’ & ‘Coast 2’ fine-art aerial exhibitions.
PETER EASTWAY
Peter Eastway is an Australian photographer who is best known internationally for his landscape photography and post-production approach.
Peter’s work has been published and exhibited internationally over the past 40 years. He was the author of the Lonely Planet’s Guide to Landscape Photography. His photography has featured on the cover of the Lonely Planet’s guide to Australia, in articles in the Qantas inflight magazine, and in an international Apple television commercial. And he has worked with Phase One researching and promoting its high-end medium format cameras and Capture One raw processing software.
Because of his involvement in photographic magazine publishing for over 30 years, Peter established his own publication, Australia’s Better Photography Magazine, in 1995. As a result, his websites are a wealth of information on how to capture, edit and print, offering tutorials, videos and inspiration for amateur and professional photographers.
He was one of the featured photographers in the Tales By Light television series aired on the National Geographic Channel in Australia and produced in partnership with Canon Australia. It is currently available on Netflix.
Peter Eastway is a Grand Master of Photography, a Fellow and an Honorary Fellow of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, and a Fellow and Honorary Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography. He won the 1996 and 1998 AIPP Australian Professional Photographer of the Year Award. He is a WPPI Master of Photography.
More recently he won the 2009 Kodak Award of Distinction at the international WPPI Print Competition held in Las Vegas, USA; and the AIPP NSW Landscape Photographer of the Year 2013. He was also the Chairman of the Australian Professional Photography Awards from 2006 to 2011.
